The Manitowoc Aquatic Center is putting on many exciting events this summer.
Michelle Michaels works for the Parks and Rec Department in Manitowoc, and she has been working to put together several events for this summer.
First, the Senior Center Rummage Sale and Fry Out will be on July 16th.
The sale will be from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., while the fry-out is from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
They will be accepting donations on July 15th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and ask that no clothing or battery-operated items be donated.
After the sale, on the 17th, they will have Last Day Craze.
“From 8:30 to 10:00 we’ll do stuff a bag for a buck on Friday Morning, and then from 10:15 to 11:30, anything that’s left is free for you to take,” Micheals explained. “We appreciate everything that anybody helps out with.”
The next event they are putting on is Special Needs Splash Time.
This will be held at the Aquatic Center on July 18th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and is free for families with special needs and their caregivers.
“Bring the kids down if you’re a family with special needs or caregiver and have fun,” she encouraged. “It’s not just kids, I mean, there’s a lot of people that come and it’s a very enjoyable event.”
Their final event is an Adult Pool Party.
This is only for people 21 or older and will include adult beverages, music, cornhole, and water volleyball.
This event is on August 7th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Aquatic Center.
All these events are sure to be a good time for anyone participating.
