A Michigan man has died after he collided with a truck in Oconto County.
The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the intersection of Highway S and Schwartz Road in the Town of Chase just after 1:30 Sunday afternoon.
There, they found that a truck was traveling south on Schwartz Road. After stopping at the stop sign at the Highway S intersection, the truck entered the intersection, which is when it was struck by the motorcycle, which was traveling east.
The 39-year-old Escanaba man riding the bike was declared dead at the scene, while the 48-year-old man and his 25-year-old male passenger, each of whom are from Oconto Falls, were treated at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
Oconto County Sheriff Todd Skarban said of the incident, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as they deal with the loss of a loved one.”
