Despite a solid defensive effort, the Manitowoc County Mariners’ season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs.
The Mariners traveled to Winneconne High School on Saturday, where they fell to the Fox River Raiders 6-0.
Don Woods of Green Bay led the Mariners’ offense with 211 yards receiving, but could not find the endzone.
Defensively, the Mariners have been great all year, and that continued on Saturday.
Andrew Hurlbert led the way with 7 tackles, while Michael Quinchia tallied 6 tackles and a sack.
The Mariners’ season came to an end with a record of 5-3.
