A second public health vending machine will be installed in Manitowoc County.
The Northeastern Wisconsin Area Health Education Center, or NEWAHEC, invites the public to celebrate the installation on Thursday, July 23rd, at 4:00 p.m. at the Two Rivers Fire Department’s Monroe Street fire station.
The public health vending machine provides convenient, confidential access to free resources to support personal well-being, disease prevention, and community safety 24/7.
In Manitowoc, the machine is known to distribute Narcan, the drug that can stop a drug overdose.
NEWAHEC says the Two Rivers Fire Department was a natural partner for the initiative because of its “strong community presence, steady foot traffic, and ongoing commitment to resident health and safety.”
Offerings at the public health vending machine will adapt to the community’s needs, ensuring the health group and its partners can respond to seasonal concerns and emerging priorities.
The ribbon cutting will include refreshments from Grow It Forward.
