Jack Cummings, age 85, officially hung up his cleats on July 5, 2026, stepping into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father after a spectacular, joy-filled extra-inning game of life.
Jack was born in Grimms, Wisconsin, on November 16, 1940, graduated from Reedsville High School, Class of 1958, and proudly served a four-year enlistment in the United States Army. Jack remained committed to supporting fellow veterans throughout his life, serving several terms as Post Commander of AMVETS Post 1032 in Reedsville.
On August 22, 1964, Jack married Patricia “Patsy” Bolle, at St. Augustine Church in Reifs Mills, Wisconsin. Together “Mr. C and Mrs. C” shared nearly 62 wonderful years of marriage.
Jack worked for Imperial Eastman, Weber’s Country Inn and DOWCO. After “Retirement,” his greatest joy was working alongside his daughter and son-in-law as they built their company Wisconsin Fastener Supply, Inc.
Jack held a deep and lifelong passion for sports. He was a multi-sport high school athlete, played softball for decades, coached his children and grandsons in baseball, and was a loyal supporter of his alma mater and Wisconsin sports teams, often heard yelling “Three!!!” at Reedsville basketball games.
Above all else, Jack’s family was the center of his world, and he was the center of theirs. He is survived by his beloved wife Patsy; his children Callen (Marcia) Cummings, Kerry (Christopher) Lindemann, and Devin (Kelly) Cummings; seven cherished grandchildren Ryan (Cassie), Cory (Jess), Ian (Gillian), Zac (April), Jake (Kristen), Nate (Guzel), and Savanna (KC); four beloved great-grands; sisters Mary (Don) Torp, Helen (Wayne) Kasten, Karen Cummings, and Cheryl (Marie) Cummings; and brother and sisters in-law Chuck (Linda) Bolle, Sandy Reed, Mary (John) Mueller, and Judy Bajdan.
Jack was met in heaven by their three angel babies; two grandbabies; parents Michael and Mildred; brothers William, Donald, Leonard and Ric; sister JoAnn; in-laws Carl and Ruth Bolle.
Jack’s greatest gift was making people feel welcome, valued, and loved.
He will be remembered with love in every story we share!
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, July 13, 2026 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1121 N. 14th Street, Manitowoc. Rev. Arogya Prashanth Gade will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 Noon. Following the Mass, Military Honors will be accorded by AMVETS Post #1032 of Reedsville.
