A unique hands-on sailing experience is coming to Two Rivers.
The 77-foot schooner Inland Seas will dock in the Cool City and offer two, three-hour educational sails on Lake Michigan on July 28th.
Passengers will help sail the vessel, take water quality samples, learn about aquatic species, and explore Great Lakes ecosystems firsthand.
The sails are offered at 8:45 a.m. to noon and 1:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
Tickets are $5 for participants under 18 and $10 for those 18 and older.
The visit of Inland Seas is part of a partnership between the Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary and the Inland Seas Education Association.
The ship also offers a unique opportunity for children, families, and adults to experience Lake Michigan from aboard a working tall ship.
Tickets can be purchased online at shipwreckcoastfriends.org/events/inland-seas.
For those who can’t make it to Two Rivers, Manitowoc will have additional sails on July 29th.
