A 19-year-old is in custody following an Independence Day shooting in Madison.
Police said yesterday that Brian Woods was arrested for reckless injury after Saturday’s shooting on the city’s southwest side.
The suspect and victim reportedly got into an altercation during the barbecue near Prairie Ridge Conservation Park.
The victim had to go to the hospital for their injuries but is expected to survive.
Woods was booked into Dane County Jail, but it’s unclear when he’s expected in court.
