A Fond du Lac state senator has been awarded as a Champion of Economic Development.
The Wisconsin Economic Development Association (WEDA) was awarded to Senator Day Feyen in recognition of his leadership during the 2025-26 Wisconsin Legislative Session on bills promoting economic growth.
WEDA Vice President of Legislative Affairs Michael Welsh says giving the award to Sen. Feyen was “an easy decision.”
Welsh highlighted the Fond du Lac Republicans’ bills that provide “new policy tools to help address challenging workforce issues, including housing and childcare, and provide opportunities for growth and prosperity for Wisconsin businesses and families.”
It includes a new childcare tax credit, improving financial tools for residential infrastructure, and giving incentives for Main Street revitalization.
Sen. Feyen says he’s honored to get the WEDA’s Champion of Economic Development Awards, saying the state’s success depends on “strong communities, a skilled workforce, and opportunities for businesses and families to grow.”
Feyen serves as the Assistant Senate Majority Leader.
