The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is reassuring the public after a small issue with the USS Cobia.
Communications Director Alexandria Bolle tells Seehafernews.com that Cobia has developed a small list on its right side.
The issue arose after rainwater entered one of the ballast tanks during a previous repair that was not part of the historic submarine’s drydocking last year.
Bolle says it’s not the first time Cobia had a minor issue, but explains that it is an 80-year-old boat, and issues can come up.
She also noted that the list is nothing to be overly concerned about, but might be noticeable if you were on the ship.
The list will not affect tours on Cobia, and any rainwater found has since been drained.
In a post on the Wisconsin Maritime Museum’s Facebook page, they thanked everyone for their continued support and look forward to having Cobia back to an even keel soon.
