A man from Ohio has passed away at a Door County state park.
The Door County Sheriff’s Office and Town of Gibraltar Police Department were notified of a man who was found unresponsive in Nicolet Bay at Peninsula State Park in the Town of Gibraltar on Wednesday at 3:35 p.m.
Once on scene, lifesaving attempts were made, but the victim, 48-year-old Bryan V. Stork, would later pass away after being taken to a hospital.
Door County Sheriff’s Captain Carl Waterstreet thanked all bystanders who assisted emergency personnel with the recovery of the Columbus, OH native.
The investigation is considered closed, and no other information is being provided.
Gibraltar Police and Door County Sheriff’s deputies also got help from the Wisconsin DNR, Door County Emergency Services, and Gibraltar Emergency Medical Responders.
