Organizers in Sheboygan are planning for the future of public transportation in the City.
Sheboygan’s bus line, Shoreline Metro, will be holding a pair of Transit Development Plan open houses on Tuesday (July 7th) at Uptown Social, running from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The 2026-2030 Shoreline Metro Transit Development Plan will serve as a framework to guide planning and growth of the transit system over the next five years.
Shoreline Metro has partnered with the Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission to formulate the plan and is now asking for feedback from residents as the public review period runs from June 29th through July 28th.
Regarding the Transit Development Plan, Shoreline Metro explained, “It supports the efficient allocation of capital and operational funding while addressing the increasing demand for transit services.”
Those looking to get a closer look at the plan in its current state can do so by following the link provided on the Shoreline Metro Facebook page.
The public is encouraged to attend the open house to hear from planners, ask questions, and raise concerns.
