The Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce has received significant state funding.
The Chamber’s Bryan Broome tells SeehaferNews.com that they have been awarded a $250,000 Talent Recruitment Grant.
This grant funding was approved by Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) to continue and expand Make Your Mark, the Chamber’s workforce attraction, relocation, and community connection initiative.
On this funding, Chamber CEO Deidre Martinez notes, “This grant allows us to build on work that is already happening and already making a difference. Through Make Your Mark, we have been able to tell a fuller story about Sheboygan County.”
The Make Your Mark program connects active job seekers with over 60 local employers, offers relocation support for new hires, and provides guidance on housing, childcare, healthcare, and more.
To close, Martinez added, “Make Your Mark is about more than recruitment. It is about helping people imagine a future in Sheboygan County and then giving them the connections and resources to make that future possible.”
The Sheboygan County Chamber was one of 17 communities and organizations to receive funding from the WEDC for Talent Recruitment Grants.
