Another attraction has been announced for Sheboygan’s America 250 celebration this weekend.
The City has shared that the 115th Fighter Wing of the Wisconsin Air National Guard will be conducting a flyover as part of its Freedom Fest on the 4th of July this Saturday.
The flyover will take place at approximately 2:00 p.m. and be visible from Deland Park, the City’s Freedom Fest hub.
On this display, Mayor Ryan Sorenson noted his excitement, stating, “We are honored to have the support of the 115th Fighter Wing for this historic celebration. This flyover adds a remarkable moment of pride and reflection to our Fourth of July festivities.”
The F 35A aircraft doing the flyover is considered one of the nation’s most advanced fighter jets, while the 115th Fighter Wing is assigned in Madison.
The Public Affairs Office for the 115th Fighter Wing also added, “Since its establishment in 1948, the 115th Fighter Wing has played a key role in the continued independence commitment to the American people and the local communities we support.”
The flyover is just one of many festivities planned for Freedom Fest in Sheboygan, which is slated to kick off on the 4th at 9:00 a.m.
