Property owners in the City of Sheboygan may once again see a hike in taxes.
The City of Sheboygan is reminding residents that its City Assessor’s Office is continuing its review of all property assessments.
The City explains that this involves a sales analysis and statistical data modeling that began in 2022 and is scheduled to come to an end this year.
With this reminder, the City has informed property owners of some critical upcoming dates in the process.
On August 10th, the 2026 Real Estate Notice of Assessment will be mailed out.
Then, from August 24th to August 28th, open-book meetings will be held, which Sheboygan describes for property owners as “a chance to compare their information with similar properties, or to discuss any concerns with the assessment staff.”
Following the open-book meetings, Board of Review hearings are scheduled to be held on October 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
To close, the City added, “The property owner must contact the City Clerk for an objection form to appear at the Board of Review hearings.”
