The Manitowoc Police Department is informing the public of a recently released sex offender who is residing in the city.
52-year-old Bradley A. Schmitt was released from prison on Tuesday and is residing in the 1000 block of South 19th Street, in the same residence where three previously released offenders were living.
Ethan D. Robinson and Robert M. Lindahl have since moved to the 1000 blocks of St. Clair Street and South 16th Street, respectively, but at last word, Kevin G. Ternes is still at that home on South 19th Street.
Schmitt was previously convicted on two counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, with the victims being minor females.
He is required to follow the rules as established by the Department of Corrections, including being on the Sex Offender Registration Program for life.
Schmitt is not wanted by police at this time, and any use of this information to threaten, intimidate, or harass him will not be tolerated.
The Manitowoc Police Department announced his release not to instill fear, but rather to make sure the community is as informed as possible.
Additional questions regarding Bradley A. Schmitt can be directed to the State of Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry at (608)240-5830.
