The Green Bay Metro Fire Department is giving some safety reminders after a garage caught fire in the Village of Bellevue.
Engine 451 was called to the scene of a garage fire at 3:15 yesterday afternoon (June 25th), where they found the flames extending into the attic.
The residents had already evacuated, allowing the firefighters to begin attacking the blaze and quickly extinguishing it.
The cause of the fire was said to be the improper disposal of smoking materials.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department is encouraging residents to make sure all smoking materials are completely extinguished and are placed in a non-combustible container after use.
