The City of Manitowoc is gearing up for a five-day celebration of America’s 250th birthday.
Starting next Wednesday (July 1st), the city has a full list of activities for adults and kids to enjoy, starting with Kids from Wisconsin performing “America’s Soundtrack” at the Capitol Civic Center at 7:00 p.m.
Next Thursday includes a free showing of the 1975 classic Jaws at Lighthouse Park.
Next Friday includes the Manitowoc Salmon Derby and the Sub Pub opening at 5:00 p.m. at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, with downtown festivities.
On the 4th of July, The Fourth on the Shore Parade kicks off at 10:00 a.m.
It will begin on 8th Street and end at the Manitowoc Yacht Club.
The Manitowoc Breakwater Lighthouse will also be open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. before the Festival Foods Fireworks Show gets underway at 9:30 p.m.
On Saturday, the Wisconsin Maritime Museum also hosts the tolling of the boat’s ceremony.
