
Two local Special Olympians competed yesterday in the USA Games in Minnesota.
Manitowoc’s Preston Bjarnarson took to Lucky Strike Bowling Alley in Blaine, Minnesota, to take part in the preliminary bowling competition.
His score was not posted as of this morning, but he did qualify for the singles final today, again at Lucky Strike.
Preston will begin bowling at 11:45 this morning.
Meanwhile, Lucas Smith and the Team Wisconsin Volleyball team earned a 2-0 win over Alabama in the group stage.
Lucas was a blocking machine, earning 3 solo blocks and one block assist.
He and the rest of Team Wisconsin will now face Team Texas today at the iconic Mariucci Arena.
The medal round will begin tomorrow, and champions will be crowned on Thursday.
