A Manitowoc girl was recently given the experience of a lifetime.
As a part of WOMT 100 and Festival Foods’ Play Ball Kid promotion, 6-year-old McKenzie Donahaue had an opportunity to go onto American Family Field and kick off a game against the Cleveland Guardians by giving her very best…
McKenzie tells SeehaferNews.com that she had a lot of fun spending the day with her family, and was not scared being in front of, in her words, “Millions and billions of people.”
Her parents, Kristen and Joe Donahaue, were kind of worried going into the game because McKenzie can be a bit goofy and silly when the mood strikes.
“She surprised us,” Kristen admitted. “We practiced for like the two weeks, and she didn’t want to say it at all…but yeah, she yelled it pretty loud and clear.”
The couple says they couldn’t have asked for a better experience, especially for their children.
“It was their first game, so it was cool to see them have a, you know, a great time.” Kristen recalled. “We’ve always gone, and so we’ve never really seen it from the kids’ experience.”
If the option were to ever arise for any other family, the Donahaue’s encouraged every parent to sign their child up.
