Law enforcement was led on a very high-speed chase late last week.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office reports that a deputy was monitoring Highway 151 north of Highway 49 in the Township of Waupun on Friday, when they saw a vehicle traveling south cross the median and begin driving the wrong way in the northbound lanes.
The deputy was able to catch up to the vehicle as it turned onto South Frontage Road from the Highway 26 on ramp, eventually making its way to Oak Center Road, where it reached speeds of up to 130 miles per hour.
The male driver eventually pulled over and was taken into custody during a high-risk traffic stop.
In total, the chase spanned around 4.5 miles, and no one was injured.
The 23-year-old Waupun man was arrested on charges of Felony Fleeing and Eluding and OWI, and received several traffic citations.
