While hospice care in Oconto Falls has been limited in the past, it is now getting new additions for those in need.
Unity and Meadowbrook at Oconto Falls are partnering to open a dedicated hospice care wing.
The Unity Sunset Wing at Meadowbrook will provide hospice care around the clock and temporary caregiver relief.
The new wing will also have amenities such as private rooms, fresh meals, and a family gathering area.
To unveil the new wing, a Ribbon Cutting Celebration will be open to the public on June 30 at 10am, followed by refreshments and tours.
When asked about the new addition and partnership, the Unity Hospice Executive Director Alisa Gerke says, “Collaboration between nursing homes and hospice is essential to improve access to quality care for more patients during end-of-life.”
As a non-profit, it is important to Unity that the hospice is accessible to anyone in need.
Synergy Senior Care Chief Marketing Officer Chris Pryor says, “Hospice services offered by Unity are fully covered by Medicare and most insurance plans.”
