A Manitowoc man has been sentenced in a child sexual assault case.
35-year-old Travis Arthur Komorowski was found guilty due to a no contest plea on a charge of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, while charges of Repeated Sexual Assault of the Same Child and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia were dismissed but read into the record.
Judge Mark Rohrer ordered Komorowski to spend five years in prison, followed by five years on extended supervision.
Komorowski was arrested in August after a woman reported to Child Protective Services that she had come home on a lunch break and caught Komorowski and a minor engaged in sexual contact.
Despite the fact that the woman told him the victim’s age, Komorowski reportedly gave the child a tablet and a phone so they could continue to have contact and meet up multiple times.
As a part of his sentencing, Komorowski was ordered to undergo a psychosexual evaluation, maintain absolute sobriety, have no contact with anyone under the age of 18, and comply with the rules established by the sex offender registry.
