After a long season and a tough playoff schedule, the WIAA State Girls Soccer Tournament kicks off tonight.
The Division 1 semifinals will feature top-seeded Divine Savior Holy Angels taking on #4 Kimberly at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee at 4:30 p.m.
The Dashers earned their spot by knocking off perennial powerhouse Arrowhead 2-1 in the sectional round, while Kimberly has yet to allow a goal this postseason.
The Papermakers have outscored their opponents 12-0 over four games.
Then, at 7:00, #2 Oregon will battle #3 Muskego, two teams that had tough sectional championship games.
The Panthers battled to a scoreless tie with Madison West, but outscored West 3-1 in penalties.
The Warriors, meanwhile, battled a strong defense in Whitefish Bay, but were able to find the back of the net one time.
That was all they needed to advance to the state tournament.
The unbeaten Kiel Raiders will take to the pitch tomorrow against New Berlin Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. for their Division 3 semifinal.
