A longstanding tradition at a Sheboygan park will be making its return in the coming weeks.
This week, the Sheboygan Common Council unanimously approved an operating agreement with Peja Vu Fine Food to operate the Vollrath Park disc golf course concession stand, formally known as The Shack.
The Vollrath Park disc golf course is the second-oldest in the country and has been traditionally accompanied by the concession stand for decades.
However, over the past couple of years, The Shack has been closed, and the City was eager to come to an agreement to get it back in operation.
Peja Vu has operated as a food truck vendor in Sheboygan for the past 10 years and has a strong background in the disc golf community.
The contract between the two sides is for three years, with the possibility of two additional years of operation if both sides see fit.
The concession stand will once again offer snacks and refreshments, along with a wide array of discs for sale.
In the future, Peja Vu looks to further the site’s activation by incorporating tennis and pickleball into its business model, as well as potentially hosting major disc golf tournaments such as the Men’s and Women’s Professional Disc Golf Associations.
After the unanimous decision by the Council, it is unclear when Peja Vu will officially move into the Vollrath Park concession stand.
