Wade House has some unique events available for families this Father’s Day weekend.
Wade House historical site in Greenbush is offering a special “Pet, Play, and Picnic” during Father’s Day weekend, with food and beverages available.
This event will include access to Wade House’s 1850s stagecoach inn and Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum and will be held on June 20th and 21st from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
There will be horse-drawn wagon rides and a petting zoo from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Participants will get to meet tradespeople, gardeners, and cooks who will show how Wade House founder Betsey Wade grew and prepared food for travelers on the Plank Road.
They will also learn how to use tools from hundreds of years ago to craft buildings and carriages, and be able to complete a scavenger hunt that will earn families a special item from the gift shop.
An exciting and unique opportunity, goat yoga, will only be available on June 20th with a $25 fee.
Participants of goat yoga are strongly encouraged to pre-register and bring a yoga mat.
The rest of the event has admission fees of $15 for adults and teens, $13 for seniors, $8 for children, and free for children under 5 and society members.
