The Oshkosh City Council is considering the future of license plate cameras in the city.
Oshkosh Police Chief Dean Smith is said to be in talks with a new company to replace Flock cameras.
The city council rescinded its contract with the cameras over a loss of trust after voting to renew its contract one day prior.
Many community members have spoken out against the use of the plate readers, but the police department says they’ve helped solve many crimes.
