The City of Two Rivers Fire Department is getting a new fire truck very soon.
The city council approved the purchase of the new vehicle in February 2024 for $840,000.
By ordering early, city staff says they locked in pricing before costs rose, resulting in significant savings.
The new fire truck is part of Two Rivers’ long-term capital replacement plan to make sure firefighters have safe, reliable, and modern equipment when responding to emergencies.
Construction is underway, and delivery is expected sometime this year.
Two Rivers staff say if everything stays on schedule, residents could get their first glimpse during the upcoming Christmas Parade.
