Former Mishicot teacher Ryan Schroeder has been sentenced in his federal case.
The 38-year-old was ordered by Judge William Byron to spend 28 years in federal prison after he previously pleaded guilty to two federal charges of Production of Child Pornography.
Those charges stemmed from images found on his Snapchat account depicting the sexual relationship he had with a 14-year-old student at the school.
He allegedly engaged in sexual activity over 50 times with the student, ten of which occurred at the school, leading to a total of 19 additional state charges.
Of those, Schroeder was only convicted on one, Repeated Sexual Assault of Same Child, while the remaining 18 were dismissed but read into the record, including Sexual Assault by School Staff, 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of Child, and ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
The state and defense have agreed on a joint recommendation of 15 years in prison in the local case, with his sentencing scheduled for July 22nd.
