A controversial Wisconsin dog breeding and research facility is closing.
Ridglan Farms has been targeted by activists for reportedly breeding beagles to use in medical research.
They’ve been targeted in recent months by animal rights activists who have tried to free the dogs held there.
Now Big Dog Ranch Rescue says the facility has agreed to permanently close and transfer the remaining 475 beagles housed there.
The animals will be taken to Big Dog Ranch locations in Florida and Alabama for medical care and eventually, adoption.
The head of Big Dog Ranch Rescue is now asking people to refrain from further protests directed at the facility or its employees.
