WOMT Sports Talk invites everyone to Salute to Everyone located at 1107 South 10th Street in Manitowoc, tonight as they celebrate the accomplishments of the Mishicot Track and Field and Boys Golf teams.
The golf team, under the leadership of head coach Robert Stroess, qualified for the state tournament for the first time and finished fourth in the eight-team field, while the girls’ track and field team captured the Big East Conference title and Division Three Sectional championship held in Hibert for the first time in school history.
They were led by sophomore Juliana Dorener, who won the Division Three 200-meter dash in a state and school record time of 24.01 seconds.
The Indians, led by head coach Kyle Novack, finished tenth in the Division Three field.
Coaches and athletes from both programs will be in-house to speak on their great seasons, and we will also catch up with Kent Sommerfeldt of the Brewers Radio Network as the first-place Brewers prepare for a visit from the Cleveland Guardians for a three-game series beginning Tuesday night at American Family Field.
The show airs from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m.
