Local bars in Two Rivers are doing their part to support the City’s celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
The Two Rivers Parks and Recreation Department has announced that green buckets have been placed inside 18 bars across the lakeshore in an effort to raise as much money as possible to help fund this year’s 4th of July fireworks display.
Each establishment will be competing in a battle of the bars to see who can raise the most money through spare change donations to make the Two Rivera Fireworks bigger and brighter.
The bar that raises the most money before June 24th will be recognized on the official event banner, receive a special shoutout during the Independence Day festivities, and, of course, bragging rights amongst the other competitors.
On this donation event, Two Rivers Parks and Rec stated, “Every penny, nickel, dime, and quarter helps…Make a stop at your favorite local spot, find the green bucket, and toss in your spare change. It may not seem like much, but those coins add up fast!”
