A woman from Plymouth accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a 4-H group may be nearing a plea deal.
Last week, 51-year-old Stacy Limberg appeared in Sheboygan County court for a scheduling conference as she faces one felony count of Theft-Business Setting $10,000 to $100,000.
At that hearing, Limberg’s Attorney, Jacob Wise, noted that he and his client have received an offer from the state.
However, no information was provided on the offer, and Attorney Wise requested additional time in the case to review the potential plea deal with Limberg.
The 51-year-old has been accused of writing fraudulent checks while serving as the treasurer of the Sheboygan County Junior 4H Dairy Project.
A criminal complaint revealed that in 2024, eight fraudulent checks were written and cashed by Limberg, totaling just under $30,000.
When questioned by the Sheboygan Police Department, Limberg admitted to officers that she wrote checks to her family members and other groups using the Dairy Project’s money to “pay farm costs, repair costs of machinery on the farm, and medical costs.”
She will now return to court on July 13th for a status conference.
