
The third man involved in the largest fentanyl seizure in state history was convicted yesterday (June 11th) in Manitowoc County Court.
Jose O. Gamez was before Judge Jerylin Dietz, where he was found guilty due to a no contest plea on a charge of Possession of Fentanyl with Intent to Deliver as Party to the Crime.
Gamez was arrested on January 6th, 2025, along with Dylan Hock and Trevor Hock.
The three men were caught with 43.2 pounds of fentanyl, worth an estimated $5.8 million.
Dylan Hock is currently serving 10 years in prison, which will be followed by 10 years on extended supervision, while Trevor Hock was ordered to spend 15 years in prison followed by 10 years of extended supervision.
Gamez is due back in court for sentencing on August 10th.
At the time of the arrests, Sheriff Dan Hartwig praised all involved, saying, “This interdiction effort demonstrates the strong collaboration between local and state law enforcement agencies. Our shared commitment to proactive drug enforcement continues to improve public safety and protect the residents of Manitowoc County.”
