Court hearings have stalled in a Two Rivers child sexual assault case.
27-year-old Andrew Mueller has not been in a Manitowoc County courtroom for over two months as he faces two felony counts of Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child.
In those two months, no hearings or conferences have been scheduled, with no explanation given on why the case has stopped moving forward.
Mueller’s last appearance came on April 7th, where his request to have his $5,000 cash bail lowered was denied for the second time in less than a month.
The 27-year-old has been accused of sexually assaulting a child twice in November and December of last year.
Court documents reveal that both alleged sexual assaults took place when the victim was just months removed from their 13th birthday.
At this time, it is unclear when Mueller will return to court in the case, as no information has been provided as to why the case has stalled.
