A police officer in Sheboygan Falls has been recognized for his hard work.
The Sheboygan Falls Police Department has announced that Sung Oetzel was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant last week after previously serving as a patrol officer and field training officer.
Lt. Oetzel joined the department in 2024 after six and a half years with the Sheboygan Police Department and 12.5 years in the United States Air Force.
Also, last week, Lt. Oetzel was recognized as the 2025 SFPD Officer of the Year, an honor handed out annually by the Sheboygan Falls Kiwanis Club.
On this well-deserved recognition, SFPD noted, “Thank you, Lieutenant Oetzel, for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to the City of Sheboygan Falls and the Sheboygan Falls Police Department!”
This honor was bestowed upon Lt. Oetzel at the June 3rd City Council meeting in Sheboygan Falls.
