Manitowoc Lutheran High School has named a new head basketball coach.
Brandon Ott, a 2001 graduate, will take over for Scott Loberger, who led the Lancers as the head coach since the 2020-2021 season.
In a post on their Facebook page, the high school says Ott was a long-time assistant coach and brings an extensive knowledge of the program, a deep love for the game, and a strong commitment to developing young men both on and off the court.
Loberger left his impact on the program, with the Manitowoc Lutheran Boys’ Basketball team going 92-65 during his tenure and capturing a regional championship.
He also helped develop multiple All-Conference players.
Staff at Lutheran High said Loberger, “modeled what it means to be a man of faith, integrity, and servant leadership.”
He will still serve as athletic director at Manitowoc Lutheran but will not continue coaching basketball.
