Bond is set at $250,000 dollars for the Madison man accused of a stabbing at a shelter.
Edward Martilik was in Dane County court yesterday for his initial appearance on a charge of first-degree attempted intentional homicide.
The prosecutor asked for bond to be set at a quarter of a million dollars for an alleged confession of the crime by the suspect.
The 56-year-old allegedly told police he “snapped” and “shouldn’t have” stabbed the victim, who’s expected to survive.
He’s expected back in court next week.
