Details have been released regarding one of Habitat for Humanity Lakeside’s annual programs.
Habitat Lakeside has announced that Rock the Block 2026 will take place in Sheboygan’s End Park Neighborhood on September 18th and 19th.
Rock the Block is one of the nonprofit’s signature events, which aims to elevate communities across Sheboygan County with well-maintained neighborhoods.
During the two-day event, hundreds of volunteers will devote their time to address critical home repair projects such as yard maintenance and cleanup, repairing and painting porches and railings, windows, and doors, and much more.
Last year’s Rock the Block took place in Plymouth and saw over 300 volunteers from over 50 organizations.
On this year’s Rock the Block, Habitat Lakeside Executive Director Le’Shay Guy stated, “We are looking forward to working with the End Park community during this year’s Rock the Block. Together, we build homes, communities, and hope.”
Homes eligible for repairs must be in the area bordered by Main Avenue on the north, Geele Avenue on the south, 10th Street on the east, and 15th Street on the west.
Those requesting a repair are encouraged to do so by contacting Penny Rayfield with Habitat for Humanity by calling 920-458-3399, extension 307, by no later than July 1st.
