Two roads are closed in Calumet County due to construction.
County Road HH is being pulverized from the Kiel city limits to Calumet County Highway A. The Calumet County Highway Department says it will take four weeks to complete the project, depending on the weather.
To get around construction, westbound traffic will be detoured to State Highway 32/57, then west to County Highway H, until reaching County Highway A.
Then, traffic will return to HH. Eastbound traffic will go the opposite way. The other road closure that began yesterday was County Highway E (West Lake Drive) between Union Street and Lake Shore Drive in the Village of Stockbridge.
That project is expected to take two weeks, weather depending. There is no detour for this project due to the lack of county or state routes available to the west.
The Calumet County Highway Department asks that motorists exercise caution, avoid the area, and use discretion when choosing alternate routes.
