Major infrastructure projects in Manitowoc and Mishicot begin today (June 8th).
In Manitowoc, Viebahn Street between South 10th Street and Lakeside Boulevard will be closed as part of the city’s 2026 road projects.
Access to the UW-Green Bay Manitowoc campus will be on South 10th Street south of Viebahn.
The project is expected to be finished by August 21st. In Mishicot, water main flushing begins today.
That means fire hydrants will be flushed to remove any excess rust and iron from the village’s drinking water.
Residents might experience a drop in water pressure during this time and notice discolored water.
To bring it back to normal, Mishicot residents should run cold water until it returns to normal.
Anyone with questions about water main flushing can contact the Village of Mishicot at 920-755-2525.
Questions about the Viebahn Street closure can be directed to the City of Manitowoc at 920-686-6950.
