Wisconsin’s Sixth District congressman continues to push the benefits of the Working Families Tax Cut Act, or the “One Big Beautiful Bill.”
Congressman Glenn Grothman chaired the U.S. Subcommittee on Healthcare and Financial Services last week and brought in four people from different groups that he says have benefited from the bill.
The Glenbeulah Republican says the bill allows working Americans to keep more of what they earn, and economic policy should reward companies here at home.
Rep. Grothman again blamed the Biden Administration for the U.S. previously relying on overseas supply chains.
He also says the bill is showing results.
Rep. Grothman stated that, “The law has increased take-home pay for many households with American families and workers claiming $82 billion in individual relief through the various tax provisions included in the bill.”
Tax Foundation Representative Garrett Wilson explained how the bill would expand GDP and how families would get money back because of no tax on tips and overtime, and an expanded tax credit.
The full video of the subcommittee is available on the GOP Oversight YouTube Channel.
Democrats have been against the “One, Big Beautiful Bill”, citing cuts to Medicaid and SNAP, and saying it only lowers taxes for corporations and the wealthy.
