A Madison man is facing charges after reportedly fighting with Monona police over the weekend.
Officers initially responded to a report of someone trying to get into cars at a parking garage on Bridge Road around 3 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities say an officer attempted to detain 18-year-old Dominique Hale Junior when he attacked them, kicking them in the face, trying to grab a taser, and trying to bite them.
He also injured another officer while trying to escape, according to officials.
Police say a loaded handgun was found in Hale’s backpack.
