Rock County is facing a lawsuit following the death of an inmate last year.
Adam Randall died in February of last year of septic shock after having bacterial pneumonia.
He was being held as a pretrial detainee and was in Rock County’s custody for about five months.
The lawsuit claims staff at the jail didn’t do enough to help the Janesville resident when he started showing signs of pneumonia and ignored his 14th Amendment rights.
A third-party contractor used by Rock County was also named in the lawsuit.
