The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is discussing an airplane disappearance for its next Think and Drink program.
Author and Historian Valerie van Heest will host a virtual presentation exploring the mystery of Northwest Flight 2501 this evening (June 4th) at 6:30 p.m.
The plane disappeared over Lake Michigan in June 1950 with all passengers and crew on board.
Despite search efforts, it was never found, leaving behind one of aviation’s greatest mysteries.
Northwest Flight 2501 was flying from New York to Minneapolis when it vanished. During the presentation, van Heest will discuss her decades-long investigation into the lost airliner, her work with the Michigan Shipwreck Research Association, and her collaboration with best-selling author Clive Cussler.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for the maritime museum’s Think and Drink.
