A man from Mishicot facing a long list of charges related to sexually assaulting his own child is due in court.
38-year-old Travis Besaw will be in front of Judge Anthony Lambrecht today (June 4th) for his preliminary hearing at 3:00 p.m.
Previously, Besaw was facing charges of First-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child with the Use of Force, Repeated Sexual Assault of the Same Child, Incest with Child, Strangulation and Suffocation, and Solicit an Intimate Representation from Minor.
He has since been handed five additional charges of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Child Sexual Exploitation.
All of these charges link back to allegations that he continually forced his daughter to have sexual contact with him over the past three years, beginning when she was just 14 years old.
It is further alleged that he supplied the child with drugs and alcohol in exchange for sexual favors and would threaten to turn her in to the police for her drug use if she told anyone about the ongoing abuse.
These allegations come as Besaw has a lengthy criminal record, including convictions for child neglect, drug possession, and a sex offender registry violation, amongst others.
As of this morning, Besaw remains in custody on a $500,000 cash bail.
