The Sheboygan Police Department is bringing back a community outreach program this year.
The department has shared that Cops and Bobbers will be held on Saturday, July 18th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Cops and Bobbers aims to foster a positive relationship between Sheboygan’s police officers and children throughout the community by enjoying a day of fishing together.
The event is intended for children between 7 and 13 years old, and parents are encouraged to participate in the event alongside their kids and the officers.
No fishing experience is required to participate, and those with their own rod and reel are encouraged to bring them.
However, fishing gear will be provided by the department to those who need it.
The event will be free of charge, but registration is required, and all children registered will receive a Cops and Bobbers t-shirt.
Those looking to sign a child up for the event can do so online by visiting sheboyganwi.gov.
Meanwhile, anyone with questions about Cops and Bobbers is encouraged to reach out to Lieutenant Andy Kundinger by calling 920-459-3358.
