Oshkosh Defense has gotten a new order from the United States Marine Corps.
The $92 million project will have the company build a Remotely Operated Ground Unit for Expeditionary Fires (ROUGE-Fires).
The vehicles combine next-generation autonomy with the protection, mobility, and off-road capabilities Marines rely on.
Oshkosh Defense was first awarded the ROGUE-Fires contract in 2022, and the platform has become the first semi-autonomous ground system fielded by the U.S. Military.
Chief Programs Officer Pat Williams explains that as the Marine Corps continues to modernize its force, “Oshkosh remains focused on delivering advanced ground mobility solutions that support mission success.”
Vehicle deliveries under the contract are expected to continue through 2031.
