History continues to be made by the Mishicot boys’ golf team.
The Indians were at Bass Lake Country Club in Deerbrook yesterday for the WIAA Division 3 Sectionals, where, for the first time in school history, they punched their ticket to the state tournament with a 2nd place finish.
The Indians were seven strokes behind the Sectional Champion Three Lakes/Phelps Blue Jays, who shot a 51 over par 335 as a team.
Mishicot also had a top-three individual finish, as Dane More shot a 4-over-par 75, just two strokes behind Kewaunee’s Evan MacCaux, who took home the gold.
Also finishing among the leaders was Karson Kowalski, whose 9-over-par 80 was good for 7th place.
The WIAA State Golf Meet will be held at University Ridge in Madison next week, Monday (June 8th) and Tuesday.
