
An investigation is underway after a stabbing on the East side of Green Bay.
The Green Bay Police Department was called to a residence in the 900 block of North Clay Street at 10:30 Tuesday morning (June 2nd), where they found a 39-year-old woman with stab wounds.
First aid was administered at the scene before the victim was taken to a local hospital.
Investigators learned the suspect had fled on a blue mountain bike, and a search ensued.
As a precautionary measure, the Green Bay Area Public School District placed some schools in the immediate area of the incident on a temporary “secure the building” state.
After around four hours of searching, the suspect was taken into custody in the area of Main and Abrams Streets.
It is not clear what led to the stabbing, and no more details have been released regarding the suspect or the victim.
