While they have not broken the $4.00 mark, Eastern Wisconsin gas prices fell sharply over the past week.
Manitowoc County saw one of the steepest drop-offs in the area, with the $4.09 average price per gallon of regular unleaded fuel this morning being 30 cents less than last week’s average reported on the AAA Gas Prices website.
Sheboygan County motorists are seeing the biggest change this week, with a 35-cent drop, leaving their average at $4.05, the least expensive fuel in the area.
Calumet County wasn’t far behind, reporting a 33-cent drop to $4.08 per gallon, leaving them tied for the second-lowest average locally.
Outagamie County’s average is down 22 cents to $4.09, while Brown County saw a 19-cent dip to $4.17.
Kewaunee County saw a 25-cent dip to $4.14, and Door County’s average is down 27 cents to $4.08.
The state average stayed on track with local trends, falling 28 cents to $4.07, while the national average is down 23 cents to $4.26.
